We are off to an awesome start here off the Port of Sheboygan on beautiful Lake Michigan. Early season Brown Trout fishing was very good in April and continued into May while fishing shallow water along the shoreline, river mouths and the Sheboygan harbor area. Once all the baitfish (Alewife) arrived from the deep water we started heading off shore 1 to 3 miles out in water depths of 50 to 100 feet of water. In these depths we found numerous bottom hugging huge Lake Trout and suspended King Salmon. These fish are running very large in size as many of our customers are putting big fish on the wall already this season. We do have an in house taxidermist here and you can see his displays in our riverfront store.
